Kauvery Hospital Vadapalani awarded 8th edition of prestigious Joint Commission International Accreditation
Chennai: Kauvery Hospital in Vadapalani, one of the leading healthcare centres in Chennai has been recognised as the world’s first hospital to achieve the prestigious Joint Commission International (JCI) Gold Seal of Approval with the latest 8th Edition Standards.
This recognition highlights the hospital’s commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous improvement in medical practices, aligning with global healthcare advancements like sustainability, cybersecurity, and enhanced patient safety protocols.
JCI accreditation is widely regarded as a global benchmark for excellence in healthcare. The Gold Seal of Approval is awarded to healthcare institutions that demonstrate superior performance in patient care, safety, and organizational effectiveness.

As per The Hindu news report, Dr Aravindan also pointed out the need for a smoother medical visa process to make it easier for international patients to receive care. He said that better flight connectivity is important for making Chennai a leading healthcare destination again.
