LASIK Surgery Can Correct Vision in Just 10 Seconds, Claims Delhi Hospital

New Delhi: A private eye hospital in Delhi has introduced a revolutionary LASIK surgery technology that reduces treatment time to under 10 seconds per eye, aiming to enhance precision and improve patient outcomes.
The Centre for Sight (CFS) offers vision correction solutions, including a personalised laser treatment and a touch-free procedure.
In a statement, the hospital said the technology reduces treatment time to under 10 seconds per eye, enhancing precision and improving patient outcomes, news agency PTI reported.

Additionally, CFS has launched a personalised laser vision correction procedure and a touch-free, blade-free LASIK procedure, the statement said.
CFS Chairman & Medical Director Dr Mahipal S Sachdev said, “Our focus is on providing the most advanced solutions to reduce dependency on glasses, and this technology allows vision correction in just 10 seconds per eye.” He said the system utilises artificial intelligence to analyse thousands of data points, enabling surgeons to predict surgical outcomes and personalise treatments for each patient, reports PTI.
This integration minimizes risks, enhances accuracy, and significantly improves visual results, he added.
Speaking to TOI, Dr Mahipal S Sachdev, chairman and medical director, Centre for Sight, noted that myopia is becoming a worldwide issue, with projections indicating that by 2050, half of the global population will be myopic. "The fastest and safest LASIK laser technology available today allows us to correct vision in just 10 seconds per eye, and the overall procedure takes only about 10 minutes. By combining advanced AI-driven eye tracking with high-speed LASIK laser treatment, we are ensuring that patients receive the fastest, safest, and most effective vision correction available today."
Dr Ritika Sachdev, director of the hospital, explained that certain groups are ineligible for LASIK surgery, including individuals under 18 years, those with unstable power, and people with weak corneas.
