LNJP Hospital to introduce new Waiting Rooms
Delhi: In a move aimed at enhancing patient care, Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj announced the construction of dedicated waiting rooms for patients' attendants at Lok Nayak Hospital (LNJP) on Tuesday. This development follows a surprise inspection by the minister, who identified the need for these facilities during his visit.
During a surprise inspection of the hospital, Bhardwaj was informed of the need for dedicated waiting rooms for patients' attendants. He noted that these rooms could be constructed adjacent to each ward. The minister assured the hospital administration that the construction process would begin soon. The new waiting rooms will be designed to provide a comfortable and functional space for attendants, enhancing their overall experience while supporting patients.
Bhardwaj took stock of the hospital’s preparedness to face patients diagnosed with dengue and other water-borne diseases. He conducted a surprise inspection at Lok Nayak Hospital to evaluate the preparations for handling patients suffering from dengue. The health minister’s visit and subsequent announcements reflect the government's proactive approach to addressing immediate and long-term healthcare needs. In a notable update, Bhardwaj also spoke about a patient diagnosed with monkeypox. According to reports from the Indian Express, Bhardwaj mentioned that the patient, who has a travel history, is in isolation in the hospital’s disaster management ward. “We have gathered information about a patient who has been confirmed to be suffering from monkeypox. This patient has a travel history. So, it is believed that he got this infection when he was outside the country. Right now, the patient has been kept in isolation in the disaster management ward here. His condition is said to be stable,'' Bhardwaj stated.
As the construction of the new waiting rooms progresses, the hospital anticipates unveiling the upgraded spaces, aiming to offer a more comfortable experience for all who depend on its services.
