New Delhi: In a significant boost to Delhi's healthcare infrastructure, the Hon'ble Union Health Minister Shri JP Nadda recently formally inaugurated Max Super Speciality Hospital, Dwarka, a state-of-the-art, 300-bed greenfield facility by Max Healthcare Institute Ltd. The company also kicked off its 25th anniversary celebrations with the event.
Strategically located in the heart of Dwarka in South-West Delhi, the hospital is equipped with cutting-edge technology and designed to deliver comprehensive, patient-centric care across various specialities. The inauguration marks a major milestone in Max Healthcare’s commitment to enhancing access to quality healthcare in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The inauguration is a strategic step in Max Healthcare’s broader expansion plan to add 3700 beds across key locations in India by 2028. Max Healthcare plans to inaugurate three other hospitals in Mohali, Mumbai and Saket, New Delhi later this year. With Dwarka emerging as an important region in NCR, the new hospital underscores Max Healthcare’s commitment to strengthening its leadership in the region.
Speaking at the inaugural event, Shri J. P. Nadda, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, said, “I congratulate Max Healthcare on establishing their 22nd hospital with the inauguration of Max Super Speciality Hospital, Dwarka. Institutions like Max are vital partners in our vision of a Viksit Bharat, where public-private partnerships play a crucial role in strengthening the healthcare ecosystem.
As we focus on making healthcare more accessible, affordable, and equitable, I am confident that Max will continue to consistently deliver quality healthcare services and contribute meaningfully to the nation’s growth.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Government of Delhi, said, “Inauguration of Max Super Speciality Hospital, Dwarka marks another chapter of providing Delhi’s citizens with excellent and state-of-the-art medical services. The facilities here will offer improved healthcare and treatment not only to Delhi residents but also to people from neighboring areas. Max Healthcare has not only expanded its footprint but has built an institution founded on excellence, compassion, and innovation.”
Built on an 8.62-acre greenfield site, the hospital is among Delhi NCR’s first to receive a 5-Star GRIHA rating for sustainable healthcare infrastructure. Designed as a greenfield project, it integrates clean energy systems, a zero-liquid discharge mechanism, electric vehicle charging stations, and daylight-optimised architecture, demonstrating how modern hospitals can operate efficiently while reducing environmental impact.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director, Max Healthcare Institute Ltd., said, “Delhi-NCR is a critical hub for advanced medical care, and Dwarka, given its strong connectivity to multiple parts of Delhi, is perfectly positioned to meet the region’s growing healthcare needs.
As a greenfield venture, this facility reflects our intent to expand meaningfully by building high-quality infrastructure in locations that improve accessibility. Max Super Speciality Hospital, Dwarka, is not just about adding capacity; it’s about creating a future-ready healthcare ecosystem, aligned with the region’s evolving needs.”
The facility houses over 120 critical care beds, 10 modular operation theatres and advanced Cath Labs. It also offers advanced tertiary and quaternary care across key specialties including Cardiac Sciences, Oncology, Renal Sciences, Neurosciences, Gastroenterology, Robotic Surgery, Paediatrics, and Organ Transplants. The wide range of specialties enables timely, high-acuity care under one roof, ensuring faster and coordinated treatment outcomes.
