PM lays foundation stone Trauma Centre and Critical Care Hospital Block at AIIMS, Jodhpur, announces several other projects
Jodhpur: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, in a significant push towards improving health infrastructure, laid the foundation stone for major health projects in Rajasthan and announced new developmental projects in Madhya Pradesh today.
In his visit to Jodhpur, Rajasthan, PM Modi inaugurated crucial health projects to strengthen the region's health infrastructure. A notable project includes the 350-bedded 'Trauma Centre and Critical Care Hospital Block' at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Jodhpur. Developed at an expense of over Rs 350 crore, this integrated centre for Trauma, Emergency, and Critical Care will offer comprehensive facilities ranging from diagnostics, day care, private rooms, ICUs, modular operating theatres, to dialysis areas. This facility is set to revolutionize the approach towards trauma and emergency cases, offering patients multidisciplinary and comprehensive care.
Additionally, seven Critical Care Blocks under the Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) will be developed across Rajasthan. These new additions are expected to greatly enhance the district-level critical care infrastructure, ultimately benefiting the local residents.
In Madhya Pradesh, the Prime Minister's vision of providing safe drinking water to every household saw further progress. He laid the foundation for several Jal Jeevan Mission projects in districts like Mandla, Jabalpur, and Dindori, collectively worth over Rs 2350 crores. Moreover, the Seoni district's Jal Jeevan Mission project, valued at over Rs 100 crore, was dedicated to the nation. These initiatives will significantly impact around 1575 villages in Madhya Pradesh.
Apart from the significant strides in health infrastructure during Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's visit to Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh today, several other key projects across different sectors were initiated and inaugurated.
In Rajasthan:
Aviation: The foundation stone for the state-of-the-art New Terminal Building at Jodhpur Airport was laid. Set to be developed at Rs 480 crore, this terminal will cater to 35 lakh passengers annually.
Education: The IIT Jodhpur campus, built at a cost of over Rs 1135 crore, was dedicated to the nation. Upgrades for the Central University of Rajasthan were also announced.
Road Infrastructure: Multiple road projects, cumulatively worth about Rs 1475 crore, were initiated to improve connectivity and stimulate economic growth.
Rail: The PM flagged off two new train services, including the Runicha Express from Jaisalmer to Delhi. Projects for doubling key rail lines were also introduced.
In Madhya Pradesh:
Cultural Heritage: To mark the 500th birth centenary of Rani Durgavati, the foundation stone for ‘Veerangana Rani Durgavati Smarak aur Udyaan’ in Jabalpur was laid. This Rs 100 crore project will feature a 52 feet high bronze statue of Rani Durgavati and an encompassing museum.
Housing: The Light House Project at Indore, constructed at approximately Rs 128 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban, was inaugurated.
Road and Rail: Infrastructure projects worth over Rs 4800 crore and rail projects valued at more than Rs 1850 crore were announced to bolster transportation within the state.
Gas Pipeline: Projects like the Vijaipur-Auraiya-Phulpur Pipeline and the Nagpur-Jabalpur section of the Mumbai-Nagpur-Jharsuguda Pipeline were introduced, collectively worth nearly Rs 3000 crore.
