Pune: Data entry operator booked for issuing bogus Disability Certificate
Pune: An employee attached to the Sassoon hospital has been booked for allegedly providing a fake disability certificate to a patient named Sang Sing.
The employee was a data entry operator at the hospital who issued the certificate in April to the patient and police said that this is not the first time that the employee has issued a fake certificate.
The Indian Express reports that after getting suspicious of his act, Dr Vijay Jadhav reported the incident to the police station and a case was registered against the accused under Sections 417, 465, 466 and 468 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Police Inspector Ashwini Satpute told TOI, "One case of issuing bogus disability certificates has come to the fore and we shall investigate further to see if more such certificates were issued by the data entry operator".
The police suspect that the accused had taken money from the patient for issuing a fake certificate.
Persons with all types of disabilities need to get the certificate from the Government recognized hospital and various tests are being conducted by the hospital in order to issue the certificate.

Medical Dialogues team had earlier published that a doctor associated with the Parigi Government hospital has been suspended for allegedly demanding a bribe for issuing a health certificate for the driving license. And he was showing alleged negligence towards his duty for being unpunctual following a surprise inspection of the hospital by the Health Minister of the state.
During the interaction, the minister asked a patient about the facilities and issues he might be facing in the hospital, to which the person reportedly told the minister the incident regarding the doctor asking for money for issuing a health certificate for the driving license.
