Rajasthan offers Rs 25 lakh cashless treatment at 31,000 hospitals across India
Jaipur: Bringing good news, the residents of Rajasthan can now avail of cashless treatment worth up to ₹25 lakh at 31,000 government and private hospitals across the country. The scheme covers treatment ranging from minor surgeries to serious illnesses.
To avail of these benefits, an individual must possess a 'Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya (MAA) Scheme Card'. The hospital will verify the card data through the software. Once verified, treatment will commence following approval from the Rajasthan State Health Assurance Agency.
As per the Bhaskar English media news report, through this card, conditions such as PTCA, chronic hemodialysis, kidney stones, laparoscopic surgery, and Cesarean delivery can be treated. However, within just the first three months, the number of patients seeking treatment in other states has already crossed the one-thousand mark.
The Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana has been integrated with the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Through this integration, beneficiaries can avail of medical treatment at 31,000 registered government and private hospitals across other states, outside of their home state, under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana.
However, while the central scheme provides coverage of up to only ₹5 lakh, beneficiaries, as residents of Rajasthan, can avail of medical treatment worth up to ₹25 lakh.
Under this scheme, the number of packages has been increased from 1,806 to 2,179. The number of empanelled hospitals has also risen from 1,761 to 1,945.
Meanwhile, Inter-state portability has now been implemented under the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Scheme. Under this provision, any patient from Rajasthan enrolled in the scheme can travel to another state for medical treatment, a facility known as 'outbound portability.'
Since the implementation of portability, more than 1,000 patients have received treatment at various hospitals located across 15 states in the country.
