Coimbatore: SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (SRM MCHRC), Kattankulathu, has been awarded the ‘Best Medical College Hospital (North Zone, Tamil Nadu)’ award from the Association of Healthcare Providers India (AHPI) at AHPICON 2025, Coimbatore.
The award was received by representatives from SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, part of the SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST). This honour underscores SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre’s ongoing commitment to patient-centred care, cutting-edge medical education, and continuous advancement in healthcare delivery.
The institute has also been honoured as “Best in the Category – Medical College Hospitals (Within Chennai and Suburbs)” at CII TN Healthcare Excellence Honours 2025. The prestigious recognition was presented during the 5th Edition of Medclave, held on 11th October 2025 at Hotel Radisson Blu, Chennai.
SRM is one of the largest multidisciplinary higher educational institutions in India, catering to over 45,000 students across 8 campuses in 5 states. Talking about the goal of the institute, P. Sathyanarayanan, Pro-Chancellor (Academics), SRM Institute of Science and Technology, stated, “We have the best facilities to produce top-class medical graduates, specialists, and super specialists. Our approach for the hospital is always patient-centric, and for teaching and learning, it is student-centric. We always encourage collaborations at the national and international levels. We will continue to adopt new technologies for patient care, teaching, and cutting-edge research to meet the ever-changing requirements of society.”
The Association of Healthcare Providers (India) – Tamil Nadu Chapter (AHPI-TN) concluded the 2nd edition of AHPICON, held on 8th November 2025 at Merlis Hotel, Coimbatore. This year’s theme, “From Sustainability to Scalability: Empowering Every Hospital Tier,” inspired powerful conversations around quality, finance, technology, insurance, HR, and leadership — all aimed at helping hospitals of every size grow stronger and more sustainable.
The association of Healthcare Providers (India) represents the majority of healthcare providers in India. It works as a “not-for-profit” organization and advocates with the government, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders on issues that have a bearing on enabling its member organizations to deliver appropriate healthcare services to the community at large.
