Woman dies after allegedly jumping from 7th floor of Junagadh Civil Hospital

Junagadh: A 48-year-old woman receiving treatment for mental health concerns died after allegedly jumping from the seventh floor of Junagadh Civil Hospital on Monday morning. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The deceased was identified as a resident of the Daulatpara area of Junagadh. According to a statement given to police by her 25-year-old son, she had been undergoing treatment for mental health issues for the past seven years and frequently experienced severe anxiety.
Preliminary police inquiries indicated that the deceased reportedly left her residence on Monday morning after telling family members that she was going to purchase groceries. She subsequently went to Junagadh Civil Hospital instead.
As part of the preliminary investigation, police examined CCTV footage. The footage reportedly showed the woman entering the hospital premises and climbing the stairs before the incident. Police are examining the footage and other available information to establish the sequence of events inside the hospital, reports The Times of India.
Investigators also recovered a note from her containing the contact details of her sons. According to the preliminary police findings, the note attributed her decision to her deteriorating mental health.
The incident was reported to Junagadh City A-Division police, who registered a case of accidental death under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). An investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances leading to her death.
Police are currently examining the available evidence, including CCTV footage and the statement provided by the deceased woman's son. The investigation is expected to establish the events between her arrival at the civil hospital and the incident.
Further findings will depend on the police inquiry into the sequence of events at Junagadh Civil Hospital on Monday morning.
