Post Diploma DNB 2025: NBE notifies on joining report, Self-Appraisal Process at OPJR- Complete details here

New Delhi-The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued a notice regarding the submission of the Joining Report and Self-Appraisal form at OPJR for Registration as NBEMS Post Diploma DNB trainees for the 2025 Admission Session for all the NBE Accredited hospitals and candidates who have joined the course.

As per the notice, the candidates who have joined the Broad Specialty courses (Post Diploma DNB) in 2025 admission sessions are required to update their Joining status at Online Portal for Joining and Registration (OPJR). This includes all candidates who have joined seats allocated to them by NBEMS. In-service candidates joining the in-service quota seats are also required to update their joining status at OPJR.

The OPJR is live. Therefore, the trainees have to adhere to the timelines - 5th August to 20th August 2025 and hospital till 25th August 2025. The candidate has to join the NBEMS training within the reporting window of the respective round of counselling. The hospital shall not allow any extension in the date of joining without approval of NBEMS. Below are the steps for completion of Joining and Self-Appraisal at OPJR-

SEATS ALLOTTED BY NBEMS (POST DIPLOMA DNB SEATS)

1 Completion of Joining Formalities at OPJR by the trainee.

2 Submission of Joining report by the concerned hospital by uploading the Annexure-A (Joining Report).

3 Submission of Self-Appraisal by the Trainee.

4 Verification of Self-Appraisal by the concerned hospital.

SEATS ALLOTTED BY THE STATE GOVT/RAILWAYS/PSUs/ESIC FOR IN SERVICE DOCTORS (IN SERVICE QUOTA POST DIPLOMA DNB SEATS)

1 Submission of allotment details at OPJR by the hospital.

2 Completion of Joining Formalities at OPJR by the trainee.

3 Submission of Joining report by the concerned hospital.

4 Submission of Self-Appraisal by the Trainee.

5 Verification of Self-Appraisal by the concerned hospital.

Meanwhile, it has been advised that it shall be the responsibility of the hospital to ensure that the trainee fulfils the eligibility criteria. The accredited hospital is advised that the verification of the self-appraisal of the trainees on the OPJR is done very cautiously by the hospital. The original documents are also to be checked by the hospital towards eligibility determination. The hospitals approving/ forwarding any false or fabricated records/information/documents for the purpose of seeking registration of the candidate as a trainee shall be liable for action as may be appropriate in terms and conditions of the accreditation agreement.

On successful submission of the joining report and verification of the self appraisal by the hospital, the trainee will be issued a “Letter of Provisional Registration” by NBEMS. For in-service state quota candidates & those employed by Govt. organization, the date of joining & registration for NBEMS training shall be the actual date of joining after relieving from the parent organization.

Trainees are required to go through the detailed guidelines available at OPJR before they proceed with the joining and self-appraisal at OPJR. It is strongly advised to carefully go through the declaration which they shall be agreeing to after completing the self- appraisal proforma.

The registration so granted on submission of self-appraisal form and its subsequent verification by the hospital shall be purely provisional and has been granted only for the specific purpose of undertaking the NBEMS course. The provisional registration shall be subject to verification of the information and documents furnished by the trainee at OPJR and mere grant of this registration will not create any rights/equity in favour of the trainee, whatsoever, to undertake the NBEMS course or appear in Final Exit Examination or award of NBEMS degree/diploma.

1 SUBMISSION OF ALLOTMENT DETAILS BY THE HOSPITAL

i Login at OPJR.

ii Choose “Submission Allotment details (State Quota (in-service) NBEMS seats)”.

iii Enter DNB PDCET 2025 Roll Number at the designation area to check the trainee details.

iv Fill the details as per the requirement in the form.

v The hospital is required to follow the help comment which will be shown on selecting the field.

vi The allotment details will be submitted, if the said hospital/institution has a valid accredited in-service quota seats.

vi After successful submission of allotment detail an acknowledgement email will be sent to the trainee and the trainee has to follow the steps II & IV for completion of joining and self-appraisal as per the normal trainees.

2 STEPS INVOLVED FOR COMPLETION OF JOINING BY TRAINEE

i The trainee has to ensure that the joining formalities has been completed by him/her at OPJR through the link “Reporting/Joining” which is available after Login at OPJR.

ii After Completion of joining formalities, the trainee is required to approach to their NBEMS Progamme Coordinator/HOI to complete his/her joining at OPJR.

3 STEPS INVOLVED FOR SUBMISSION OF JOINING STATUS BY THE HOSPITAL

i After completion of Joining formalities by the trainee, the hospital is required to submit the joining status which includes verification of original documents in terms of eligibility for joining NBEMS course, entering actual date of joining & upload of the trainee at OPJR through the link “Submission of Joining Status” which is available after Login at OPJR.

ii After completion of joining status by the hospital, the hospital should ask the trainee to submit the self-appraisal for further provisional registration with NBEMS.

4 STEPS INVOLVED FOR SUBMISSION OF SELF-APPRAISAL FORM BY THE CANDIDATES

i Confirm with your institute that your joining status is updated at OPJR. If your joining is not updated, please ask your training institute to update the same.

ii Login at OPJR.

iii Select “Registration” under quick access links on the left panel of OPJR.

iv Complete all the steps as asked in the Self-Appraisal form-

a Undertaking for Last Employment Details.

b Self-Appraisal by trainee o Declaration by trainee.

c Payment of Registration Fee.

d Final Submission of Self-Appraisal.

v After successful submission of Self-appraisal form by trainee, the trainee will receive a system generated acknowledgement email.

vi The trainee need to approach the NBEMS programme coordinator/HOI of the hospital to verification/review the Self-Appraisal for grant of provisional registration.

vii Status of trainee after successful submission of Self-appraisal form shall be reflected under Registration tab as “Self-Appraisal for Registration Completed”

viii Status of trainee after successful review of Self-Appraisal form by the hospital shall be reflected under Registration tab as “Provisionally Registered”.

5 STEPS INVOLVED FOR VERIFICATION OF SELF-APPRAISAL FORM BY THE HOSPITAL

i Login at OPJR.

ii Select “Eligibility for Registration”.

iii Select “Course Group” and “Admission Session”.

iv Select name of trainee from the list of trainees and click on “Submit Registration Status” for verification of self-appraisal form for registration of the selected trainee.

v Re-verification and capture of Live photograph of the trainee (if not captured earlier), which shall be printed on the Provisional Registration Letter.

vi Complete all the steps as asked in the Self-Appraisal form-

a Verification of Last Employment details.

b Review of Self-Appraisal Form submitted by trainee.

c Verification of Registration Fee.

d Thesis Guide Allocation as per the available of faculty (if applicable to course). Please note that only eligible faculty can be allocated as thesis guide for the selected trainee.

e Declaration by the Hospital/Institute.

f Final Submission.

v After successful review of Self-Appraisal by the training institute, Letter of Provisional Registration of trainee as NBEMS trainee shall be available for download and shall also be emailed to both the trainee and institution.
