Patna Shocker: Pharma Representative Brutally Murdered, Probe Underway

Patna: The body of a pharmaceutical sales representative identified as Murari Kumar (30), was recovered near the Gupta-Lakhminia embankment under Teghra police station area on Sunday, sending shockwaves through the district.
A native of Ramdiri village under Matihani police station, Murari had been living with his in-laws at Madhurapur village for the past four years. According to locals, he left home on Saturday evening after receiving a phone call but did not return. When his family tried to reach him later that night, his cellphone was found switched off.
On Sunday morning, villagers out for a walk discovered his body lying in bushes near the embankment and immediately informed the police.
Teghra police station SHO Amlesh Kumar confirmed that Murari’s throat had been slit with a sharp-edged weapon. “There were marks of blood around the spot, indicating the criminals assaulted him brutally before the murder,” he said.
Police have roped in a forensic science laboratory (FSL) team and a dog squad to aid the investigation. The brutal nature of the crime suggests a planned assault, though the motive remains unclear.
According to the Times of India, investigators are scanning all possible leads, including Murari’s last phone call, to identify the perpetrators.
