Alkem Labs CFO Nitin Agrawal Resigns
Mumbai: Alkem Laboratories Limited has announced that Nitin Agrawal has resigned from his position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel of the company to pursue new professional opportunities.
Agrawal tendered his resignation on July 30, 2026, and will cease to hold the position of Senior Management Personnel of the company with effect from September 30, 2026.
According to the company, the reason for the change is resignation. Agrawal will cease to be a Senior Management Personnel of Alkem Laboratories from September 30, 2026. The company has stated that the brief profile and disclosure of relationships between directors are not applicable in connection with his resignation.
In his resignation letter dated July 30, 2026, Agrawal formally communicated his decision to step down as Chief Financial Officer of Alkem Laboratories Limited. He described his tenure as CFO over the preceding years as a great honour and expressed gratitude to the management and Board of Directors for entrusting him with several strategic responsibilities.
During his tenure, Agrawal said he was involved in several strategic initiatives of the Alkem group. These included building the MedTech business from the ground up, the acquisition of Adroit, creation of Alkem Wellness, formation of the Saudi joint venture and acquisition of Bombay Ortho.
He also stated that he had the opportunity to support the liquidation of idle assets, including the Indore SEZ plant, enhancement of the rate of returns on treasury income and implementation of the new UCPMP marketing guidelines in the domestic market. More recently, he had led the acquisition of Occulutech, according to his resignation letter.
Agrawal stated that stepping down had not been an easy decision, but he had chosen to pursue new professional opportunities that more closely align with his long-term professional and personal growth.
He further stated that he would remain fully committed to supporting the management in ensuring a smooth handover of all ongoing strategic initiatives. Agrawal will continue to serve the company through September 30, 2026, after which he will cease to hold the Senior Management Personnel position. He also conveyed his wishes to the Board and the entire Alkem family for continued success in the years ahead.
