Dr Reddy's Confirms Gilead Licence Deal for Once-Yearly Lenacapavir for HIV Prevention

The clarification came after BSE Limited sought a response from the company regarding a media report published on September 17, 2026, titled “Dr Reddy’s gets voluntary license for Gilead’s once-yearly HIV prevention drug.”

In its response, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories stated that the media report was correct. The company said the report pertained to its press release issued on September 17, 2026, titled “Dr. Reddy’s expands collaboration with Gilead Sciences through voluntary licensing agreement for investigational once-yearly lenacapavir for HIV prevention.”

BSE had also sought information on whether negotiations relating to the matter had been taking place and, if so, details of the negotiations along with the sequence of events from their commencement until the date of clarification. Dr. Reddy’s responded that this was “Not Applicable.”

The stock exchange further asked whether the company was aware of any information that had not been disclosed to the stock exchanges and that could explain movement in the company’s trading. Dr. Reddy’s clarified that, at this stage, there is no material event or information pertaining to the matter that requires disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.

BSE also sought details of any regulatory or legal proceedings, including their initiation or outcome. The company stated that this was “Not Applicable.”

The company further clarified that the matter does not constitute a material event or information requiring disclosure under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations. Dr. Reddy’s said it makes timely disclosures of all events and information considered material and warranting disclosure under applicable regulations.

The disclosure follows the company’s announcement of its expanded collaboration with Gilead Sciences through a voluntary licensing agreement covering investigational once-yearly lenacapavir for HIV prevention.
