Gufic Biosciences Reappoints Pankaj Jayakumar Gandhi as Whole-Time Director for Five Years
Mumbai: Gufic Biosciences Limited has announced that its Board of Directors has approved the re-appointment of Pankaj Jayakumar Gandhi as the Whole-Time Director of the company for a further term of five years, subject to shareholders' approval at the upcoming 42nd Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The decision was taken at the meeting of the Board of Directors held on July 31, 2026. The company stated that Gandhi's fresh term will commence on September 7, 2026, and continue until September 6, 2031, with both dates inclusive. He will continue to serve as a director liable to retire by rotation, in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Companies Act and SEBI regulations.
The company disclosed that the re-appointment has been approved pursuant to Regulation 30 read with Part A of Schedule III of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Gufic Biosciences also confirmed that Pankaj Jayakumar Gandhi has not been debarred from holding the office of Director by virtue of any order passed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) or any other regulatory authority.
Providing details of the appointment, the company said Gandhi holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai and possesses more than three decades of experience in liaising with regulatory authorities in the pharmaceutical industry. According to the company, he has played a significant role in ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining effective coordination with statutory and regulatory authorities, contributing to the smooth functioning and operational efficiency of Gufic Biosciences.
The company further stated that Gandhi is not related to any member of the Board of Directors.
