Jubilant Pharmova Gets Rs 22.10 Crore Tax Demand Deleted Through Rectification Order

Noida: Jubilant Pharmova Limited has informed the stock exchanges that a tax demand of Rs 22.10 crore raised by the Income Tax Department for the Assessment Year (AY) 2020-21 has been deleted in its entirety following the receipt of a rectification order. The company clarified that while it has secured relief through the rectification process, its appeal on the merits of the case continues to be pursued separately before the Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT).
The disclosure was made on July 16, 2026, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Jubilant Pharmova stated that the latest development relates to its earlier disclosure dated December 31, 2025, regarding the receipt of certain orders from the Income Tax Department.
According to the company, it had filed a rectification application against certain tax demands raised by the Income Tax Department for AY 2020-21. Pursuant to the rectification orders received, the entire tax demand of ₹22.10 crore has been deleted. The company added that the appeal filed before the ITAT on separate merit grounds remains pending and will continue independently of the rectification proceedings.
The company explained that the rectification application had been submitted before the Assessing Officer for correction of a mistake apparent from the assessment order. Through the rectification order dated July 15, 2026, the company received relief from the relevant Assessing Officer, resulting in the complete deletion of the disputed tax demand of ₹22.10 crore. However, the appeal pending before the ITAT on different grounds is yet to be adjudicated.
Jubilant Pharmova further informed that it received the rectification order from the Income Tax Department at 10:06 PM (IST) on July 15, 2026. The company also stated that the disclosure would be simultaneously hosted on its official website for the information of stakeholders.
