Lupin Among 16 Indian Firms Featured in TIME's Sustainability Rankings

New Delhi: Lupin Limited has been featured in TIME and Statista's World's Most Sustainable Companies 2026 list, marking the company's debut in the global sustainability rankings.
According to the company, Lupin ranked 318th among 750 companies selected from more than 5,000 of the world's largest and most influential organisations. The assessment evaluated companies across more than 20 sustainability indicators, including sustainability commitments, ESG ratings, reporting transparency, and environmental and social performance.
Lupin is among 16 Indian companies featured in this year's global ranking.
Commenting on the recognition, Ramesh Swaminathan, Executive Director, Global CFO, Head of IT and API Plus SBU, Lupin, said, "Our inclusion in TIME and Statista's World's Most Sustainable Companies 2026 marks an important recognition for us. Sustainability is central to how we drive performance while advancing our purpose. We remain committed to accelerating our climate transition, strengthening governance and transparency, scaling renewable energy, and integrating ESG enterprise-wide."
The company said the recognition reflects its continued efforts to embed environmental, social and governance (ESG) priorities across its global operations while creating long-term value for patients, communities and other stakeholders.
Lupin added that the latest recognition builds on its recent ESG achievements, including receiving CDP's highest 'A' leadership rating for both Climate Change and Water Security, as well as securing an S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment score of 91 in 2025.
Mumbai-headquartered Lupin operates in more than 100 markets globally and has a diversified portfolio spanning branded and generic formulations, complex generics, biotechnology products and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). The company has 15 manufacturing facilities, seven research centres and a workforce of over 24,000 employees worldwide.
