Mumbai Pharma Firm MD, Staff Booked After Woman Alleges Gunpoint Assault, Nude Video Threat

Mumbai: A 51-year-old businesswoman has levelled shocking allegations against the managing director of a well-known pharmaceutical company and five senior officials, claiming she was held at gunpoint, stripped naked, assaulted, and filmed inside their Mumbai office.
According to the complaint, the woman, who runs a photo-frame and gifting business was called to the second-floor office of Franco-Indian Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd (FIPPL) on Dr E. Moses Road in Mahalaxmi for what she believed was a business meeting. She has identified Joy John Pascal Post, the company’s managing director and founder member, as the prime accused, along with five senior officials.
As per various media accounts, the FIR states that the alleged incident occurred on January 18, 2023, between 11:30 am and 1 pm. The complainant told the police that she was first assaulted with the butt of a revolver on her shoulder and back. She was then taken into the cabin of the MD, where she was allegedly forced to remove her burkha and, at gunpoint, compelled to take off her clothes.
As per a recent media report in The CSR Journal, the woman alleged that the main accused pointed a revolver at her head while forcing her to undress, and she was threatened continuously throughout the ordeal. She claimed that videos and photographs of her in the nude were taken by the accused to intimidate her further.
According to the complaint, the woman was told that the recordings would be uploaded on social media and “made viral” if she resisted or disclosed the incident. She also stated that she was threatened with being framed in a false criminal case and sent to jail if she did not cooperate or give statements favourable to the accused. The FIR mentions that one senior pharma official had already filed what she claims was a false case against her earlier.
Following the incident, the complainant approached NM Joshi Marg police and provided a detailed statement. Police officials have confirmed that all six senior pharma executives named in her complaint have been booked for offences relating to sexual harassment, assault with intent to disrobe, criminal intimidation, grievous hurt using a weapon, outraging modesty and offences under the IT Act. A detailed probe is in progress to determine each accused’s role, reports NDTV.
Police at NM Joshi Marg station have registered an FIR under IPC sections 354A, 354B, 326, 509, 506 and relevant provisions of the IT Act, and an investigation is underway.
