NPPA Expands Ringer Lactate Price List, Adds Five Manufacturers and New Pack Types
New Delhi: The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, has issued an addendum to its earlier orders on the ceiling price fixation of Ringer Lactate (non-glass with special features).
The revised notification expands the approved list by adding five new manufacturers and marketers, covering Ringer Lactate formulations in Twin Port Euro Head Bottles, Dual Port Plastic Bottles, DRIP EURO/PE Bottles, Euro Head LVP Bags, and Euro Head Bottles.
Further, NPPA has inserted two new clauses—(e5) and (e6)—clarifying the applicable ceiling price formulations. Under clause (e5), only the prices of formulations specified at Sl. Nos. 3 and 4 of Table A will apply to IV Tech Healthcare and Life Infusion Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. For the firms mentioned under clause (e6), namely M/s Safal Lifescience Pvt. Ltd. and its marketer, Virchow Biotech Pvt. Ltd., and M/s Klokter Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. with its marketer, the applicable ceiling price will be limited to the formulation at Sl. No. 3 of Table A.
The notification states:
The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority’s Order No. 1474(E) dated 27th March 2025, 2998(E) dated 4th July 2025 and 3978(E) dated 29th August 2025 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, related to ceiling price fixation of scheduled formulation packs of Ringer Lactate (non-glass with special features), is henceforth to be read with the following additions:(1) Sl. No. 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 shall be added in Table ‘B’ as below

Further clarifications have been issued regarding applicable ceiling prices for these manufacturers:
“(e5) In the case of IV Tech Healthcare and M/s Life Infusion Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. mentioned in Sl. No. 26 and 27 respectively of Table B, only the prices of the formulations specified at Sl. No. 3 and Sl. No. 4 of Table A are applicable.”
“(e6) In the case of M/s Safal Lifescience Private Limited (Manufacturer) and M/s One Drip Healthcare Private Limited (Marketer), M/s Virchow Biotech Pvt. Ltd., M/s Klokter Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. (Manufacturer) and Zee Laboratories Limited (Marketer) mentioned in Sl. No. 28, 29 and 30 of Table B, respectively, only the price of the formulations specified at Sl. No. 3 of Table A is applicable.”
