Piramal Pharma Appoints Viral Gandhi as Chief Technology Officer
Mumbai: Piramal Pharma Limited has appointed Viral Gandhi as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Senior Management Personnel, effective October 1, 2026, following approval by the company's Board of Directors on September 30, 2026.
Gandhi is currently serving as President and Group Chief Information Officer of Piramal Group, where he is responsible for driving technology innovation and digital-led transformation across the Group’s entities. His role involves enabling businesses to leverage technology and digital platforms to strengthen engagement with stakeholders across various touch points.
According to the company, Gandhi is a Technology and Digital Strategist with extensive experience in developing and implementing technology solutions and establishing strong technology cultures aimed at organisational transformation and business growth.
Before joining Piramal Group, Gandhi served as Chief Information Officer at the Cox & Kings Group, where he played a role in driving business transformation through consumer technology solutions across the group’s companies globally.
Earlier in his career, Gandhi worked with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), where he partnered with several Fortune 100 clients, including General Electric, NASDAQ, World Bank, HP and Procter & Gamble, on their technology transformation initiatives.
Gandhi brings more than two and a half decades of experience in the technology and digital domain and has received several awards for his contributions to technology and innovation.
His academic credentials include an Executive Leadership Program from Harvard Business School, USA, and a Strategy and Innovation Program from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from VJTI, Mumbai, India.
