Raid: Drugs worth Rs 80000 illegally stocked for sale seized at clinic

Telangana: Drugs Control Administration, Telangana has conducted a raid on an unlicensed premises in Hanumakonda, and seized drugs worth Rs. 80,000 that were illegally stocked for sale.
On 5 th March, officials of the administration acting on credible information regarding the illegal stocking and sale of medicines, raided an unlicensed premises at Mahima Clinic, H.No. 3-14-561, Vinayaka Nagar Line 3, KUC Road, Hanumakonda.
G. Pravin Kumar had been stocking drugs at the clinic for sale without a drug license. During the raid, DCA officers detected the unauthorized stocking of a large quantity of medicines intended for sale.
A total of 42 varieties of medicines were found at the premises, including expired drugs, habit-forming drugs, vaccines, antibiotics, and steroids etc. The officers seized the stock, worth Rs. 80,000.
Sri. J. Kiran Kumar, Drugs Inspector, Hanumakonda carried out the raid under the supervision of Dr. G. Rajyalakshmi, Assistant Director, Warangal. DCA officers lifted the samples for analysis.
Further investigation shall be carried out and action shall be taken as per the law against all the offenders.

On 5th March, Drugs Control Administration, Telangana officials, acting on credible information, also raided the premises of a medical distributor named Sri Nandini Pharma in Sultan Bazar, Hyderabad, and found stocks of thermolabile (temperature-sensitive) medicines—Tetanus Vaccine and Oxytocin Injections—stored at room temperature on racks along with other general drugs.
