Rs 8.87 Crore Fake Drug Billing Racket Busted in Lucknow, 4 Booked

Lucknow: A fake drug billing racket involving medicines worth Rs 8.87 crore has been uncovered in Lucknow, following which an FIR has been registered against four individuals. The case involves alleged fraudulent billing of medicines and has prompted authorities to initiate an investigation into the matter.
The alleged racket concerns fake billing transactions involving medicines valued at ₹8.87 crore. The discovery has brought attention to suspected financial irregularities in drug-related transactions and the manner in which medicine procurement and billing activities were carried out.
Following the detection of the alleged irregularities, authorities registered a First Information Report (FIR) against four people. An investigation has subsequently been initiated to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged fraudulent billing and determine the roles of those named in the case.
Authorities are examining the transactions connected with the alleged fake bills as part of the investigation.
Authorities are also working to establish accountability and identify the individuals responsible for the alleged irregularities.
The investigation remains underway, and further details concerning the accused persons, the exact modus operandi and the broader extent of the alleged racket are expected to emerge as authorities examine the case, reports The Economic Times.
