Syngene International names Chethan Yogesh as Company Secretary, Compliance Officer

"We would like to inform you that based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors at its meeting held today i.e. on July 23, 2025, has approved the appointment of Mr. Chethan Yogesh (ICSI Membership No.: FCS 9445) as the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer (being Key Managerial Personnel) of the Company w.e.f. July 23, 2025 pursuant to the provisions of Regulation 6 of SEBI Listing Regulations and Section 203 of the Companies Act, 2013," Syngene stated in a BSE filing.

Chethan Yogesh is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and holds a postgraduate degree in Commerce. With over 16 years of experience, he is a seasoned Company Secretary and Compliance Leader with deep expertise in corporate governance, legal affairs, financial operations, and CSR. He currently serves as the Company Secretary at Syngene, where he leads key initiatives in board governance, regulatory compliance, and corporate secretarial matters. Prior to this, he was the Head of Company Secretarial at Syngene, playing a pivotal role in strengthening governance frameworks.

Earlier, Chethan was the Company Secretary at Wipro Enterprises, the non-IT arm of the Wipro Group. There, he managed secretarial and compliance functions for over 85 subsidiaries across 40+ countries and led several complex transactions including mergers, acquisitions, demergers, and restructuring across global jurisdictions. A certified CSR professional, Chethan actively supports and drives social initiatives of the Company. His leadership style is collaborative and purpose-driven, earning him respect across the industry. He is also a frequent speaker and panellist on governance, insurance, and compliance, and was recognized with the “40 Under 40 in Finance” award by Mizuho Bank.
