NBE Releases Cut-off Percentile for GPAT 2024

NBE Releases Cut-off Percentile for GPAT 2024

New Delhi- The National Board of Medical Examinations (NBEMS) has released the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) cutoff percentile 2024 on the official website of the National Board. NBEMS has released the GPAT cutoff 2024 on a category-wise basis.

As per the official notice in this regard, the scorecard indicating the cut-off percentile for GPAT-2024 will be available for download from the NBEMS website on or after August 2, 2024. Below is the detailed category-wise cut-off percentile in GPAT-2024.

Meanwhile, the validity of the scorecard of GPAT-2024 will be for three years. Additionally, the appearance in GPAT-2024 does not confer any automatic rights to secure an M.Pharm seat and/or award of scholarship for M.Pharm Courses.

However, NBEMS has no role in counselling and disbursement of scholarships. Verification of documents and eligibility determination of the candidates will be undertaken at the time of the counselling/admission process by the concerned authority.

The notice further added, “As per the decision of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), 10% of all the appeared candidates in GPAT-2024 will be declared as qualified i.e 3934 candidates will be qualified for admission to Master of Pharmacy Courses/award of scholarship for M. Pharm Courses/PhD courses with reservation as per Government of India Policy for EWS, OBC, SC, ST and PwBD candidates”.

In addition, as per the information bulletin below are detail of the counselling and reservation of the GPAT 2024.

COUNSELLING AND RESERVATION

1 In the case of Institutes run by the Central Government, the reservation would be applicable as mentioned below:

i 15% of the seats for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates.

ii 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.

iii 27% seats for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List.

iv 10% of the seats for General Economically Weaker Sections (General - EWS) candidates.

2 Each category will have 5% reservations for the candidates with 40% or more disability.

3 In the case of the Institutes run/aided/recognised by State Governments, the reservation policy of the respective State Governments shall be applicable.

4 OBC - NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) as per the Central list of OBC alone are eligible to claim OBC reservation in the counselling/admission. All OBC applicants for GPAT are accordingly advised to indicate their category as OBC in the application form only if their caste belongs to the Central list of OBCs and they fall under the non-creamy layer.

5 ।NBEMS has no role in counselling for admission to the Masters (M.Pharma) program. Candidates must apply separately to the desired GPAT-2024 Participating institutions with the GPAT Score 2024. Thereafter, each Participating Institute will release its respective cut-off GPAT Scores which a candidate should meet to qualify for admission to that particular Institution.

6 Candidates are advised to read the details of the admission process of each Participating Institute of GPAT-2024 on their respective websites. The participating Institutions of GPAT-2024 are the Institutions which will be accepting the GPAT Scores.

7 Admission to PG courses are undertaken by the State Government/ State admission committee. NBEMS has no role whatsoever in the conduct of counselling for admission to M. Pharm/ PhD courses utilising GPAT scores.
