Pharma Education on Rise: Telangana Sees 96% B.Pharm Seat Fill-Up in TG EAPCET 2025

Hyderabad: The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) program has made a strong comeback in Telangana, with nearly all seats filled during the final round of TG EAPCET 2025 BiPC category counselling.
The Telangana Today reports that according to official figures, out of 8,908 seats offered across 124 colleges under the convener quota, 8,560 seats were allotted—registering a remarkable 96 per cent fill rate. The surge highlights renewed student interest in pharmaceutical education and allied life sciences in the state.
The demand for other healthcare-related courses was equally encouraging. The Pharm D program witnessed almost full occupancy, with 1,672 out of 1,682 seats allotted, recording a 99.35 per cent fill rate. Similarly, all seats in biomedical engineering and biotechnology courses were taken up, while only six out of 116 seats in pharmaceutical engineering remained vacant. The data reflects a strong shift among students towards life science, healthcare, and pharmaceutical fields driven by promising career opportunities.
This year, a total of 71,309 candidates qualified in the TG EAPCET BiPC stream, of whom 16,336 completed certificate verification, and 15,192 exercised web options for seat allotment. Overall, 96.67 per cent of the total 10,960 seats in the BiPC category were successfully filled across various disciplines. Students allotted seats have been instructed to complete self-reporting online by October 22 and physically report to their respective colleges by October 23, failing which the allotment will be cancelled, reports Telangana Today.
