Oncology Events 2026: International Conferences, Dates & Locations

Cancer represents a major public health and economic challenge in the 21st century, accounting for one in six deaths and one in four deaths from non-communicable diseases (NCDs) globally. The disease causes three in ten premature deaths from NCDs worldwide (30.3% among those aged 30–69 years) and ranks among the top three causes of death in this age group in 177 of 183 countries. Cancer incurs substantial societal costs that vary across cancer types, regions, and genders. As cancer ranks among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, the focus has increased on precision oncology, multidisciplinary care, and technology-driven treatments. India, with its rising incidence of common and rare malignancies, is emerging as a key center for cancer research and clinical care delivery. The international and national oncology communities are preparing for a year of significant scientific engagement.
As medical oncology, surgical oncology, and radiation oncology advance, 2026 will be crucial for oncologists, researchers, medical physicists, dosimetrists, surgeons, imaging specialists, industry innovators, and health policy experts. In India and globally, 2026 scientific meetings will serve as platforms for sharing transformative research, clinical trial data, and innovations in cancer care, including:
- Contemporary cancer research, novel biomarkers and emerging diagnostic modalities,
- Advances in radiation therapies, targeted therapies, immuno-oncology, cellular therapies, and cancer vaccines
- Multidisciplinary management of malignancies
- Pediatric oncology
- Cancer prevention includes awareness, education, screening strategies, and early detection programs.
- Real-world evidence, and guideline-shaping clinical trials
These sessions will serve as forums for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and translation of research into clinical practices. For oncologists and radiation oncology professionals in India and globally, these conferences provide opportunities to align with evolving treatments, adopt new technologies, and shape future cancer care practices. Below is an overview of the 2026 conference calendar, highlighting key Oncology and Radiation Oncology scientific sessions across India and globally (Table 1).
