PG Preparation- AIIMS JIPMER Toppers share their tips
With the NEET PG just a month away, students are indeed getting anxious about the last minute preparations. The results of AIIMS and JIPMER are both out and NEET PG is the remaining exam that aspirants are focusing all their energy on.
Delhi Academy of Medical Sciences (DAMS) bagged the honour of coaching both the toppers of AIIMS and JIPMER, assisting them in their quest for excellence. Showing their appreciation, the students have indeed kind enough to point out the Dos and Dont's of PG Preparation and how to conduct oneself during the D-Day. Check out what they have to say
Dr Archana Sasi- Rank 1- AIIMS November 2017
Topper of UG AIIMS five years ago, the Dr Archana indeed set the record straight once again. A Student of DAMS test and Discussion Course, she pointed out the issues faced by aspirants who are undergoing their internship at the time of 1st attempt and have only 8-9 months to prepare. She spoke of discipline and time bound preparation as well as the importance of making quick notes for revision before the D-Day
Dr Archana attempted 197 questions in the AIIMS exam, of which she calculated that 155-165 were correct. She confessed to have taken guesswork in 5 of her questions, adding that the decision was a calculated one. " See the game is that of plus 3 and -1. So if i answer 4 questions with three wrong and just one right, it still balances out. Its ok to make wild guess, but not too many," she cheekily says
For final revisions she focused on practicing grand tests rather than subject wise exam
Check out the full interview for her strategy, important topics, her timetable, numbers of revisions, key steps to approach to unknown questions and the role of GUT Feeling in the exam.
Dr. Nidhish Chandra JIPMER NOV 2017 RANK 1
A Student of Test and discussion course at DAMS Thrissur Centre, he made his own notes on various subjects, and put his focus on Grand Tests and relied on Video discussions to learn the art of solving MCQ’s.

"Before preparing for any PG entrance, First figure out and focus on what the exam pattern is," he says. "One should solve a number of past questions papers. For example, i knew that in JIPMER exam, genetics is a hot topic, he added
Being his second attempt at the exam and the exam having 250 questions for 3 hours, he aimed 150-160 correct answers. He confessed that he learnt alot from his first attempt, and figured out the mistakes to avoid for his second attempt. Check out the interview for the subjects he focused on and the strategy he applied.
