Promise of Youthfulness: Tantrik dupes MBBS doctor of Rs 2 crore
In the last seven years, the woman alleged that the 'tantrik' lured her into paying Rs 65 lakhs in cash and 1.5 kg of gold jewellery worth Rs 1.35 crores.
GHAZIABAD: An MBBS doctor in the Muradnagar area has filed a complaint with the local police against a tantrik alleging that he duped her of an amount of Rs 2 crore with promises of youthfulness as well as solving her personal problems. Based on the complaint, the police have now arrested the tantrik
The Muradnagar based doctor has been running a private clinic for the last 26 years. She got in touch with this tantrik seven years ago when he visited her clinic to get his wife treated. The man allegedly deceived the doctor in the name of ‘tantra-mantra’ claiming that he could solve any problem. Desperate in the hope of finding some solution to her problems she narrated all her family issues to him including her marital issues and the unemployment of her son.
Navbharat Times reports that in her police complaint, the doctor has alleged that the tantric then took money from her at regular intervals to conduct special prayers that would solve her problems including making her look youthful, get her unemployed son a job as well as double the value of gold in her possession. As per the complaint, in the last seven years, the woman alleged that the 'tantrik' lured her into paying Rs 65 lakhs in cash and 1.5 kg of gold jewellery worth Rs 1.35 crores.
She started suspecting the tantrik soon after noticing that her problems were nowhere near the solution. Further, she aded in her complaint that when she repeatedly asked him to return her money, the man threatened to kill her family. Realizing the trap she had fallen in, the doctor approached police and lodged a complaint.
The police have now taken the man in custody and are investigating the case.
