CM Nitish Kumar distributes appointment letters to 9469 candidates of Health services, lays foundation stones for new medical colleges
Addressing the function on the occasion the Chief Minister said that the health workers who have been given the appointment letter include ANM Counselor, senior treatment supervisor, health manager, district community promoter, block community promoter and Accountants at block level.
Patna: While inaugurating 24 schemes worth Rs 224.19 crore of the health department through remote control at Bapu sabhagar convention hall, the chief minister distributed the appointment letters among the 9469 selected candidates of Health Services.

Under the schemes, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of the Government Medical College Hospital to be constructed in Begusarai and at Dumraon in Buxar at an expenditure of Rs 515 crore each. He also initiated the Digital Health Scheme during the day.
Addressing the function on the occasion the Chief Minister said that the health workers who have been given the appointment letter include ANM Counselor, senior treatment supervisor, health manager, district community promoter, block community promoter, and Accountants at the block level.
He said that more than 24600 people have been appointed during the past 5 years and added that the process for appointing more than 5000 people on various posts was at the final stage which would be completed this year.
Highlighting the appointments made at various levels in the health sector the Chief Minister said that more than 37400 people have been appointed during the past 5 years.
He said that to speed up the appointment process in the health sector technical Service Commission was constituted. Outlining the facilities under the chief minister's digital Health Scheme he said that medical experts and renowned doctors would be able to see the patients at their doorsteps and would provide their suggestions.
The Chief Minister said that the number of beds at Primary Health centres has been increased to 30 from 6 and added that out of 434 Primary Health centres 261 were already constructed and the construction process of the rest was underway.
City scan and dialysis facilities have been made available at all district hospitals. Apart from this an eye bank and a modern kidney transplant unit have been set up at the Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. He said that his government was establishing nursing colleges in all government medical colleges.
Orthopedics related diseases would be treated at Rajvanshi Nagar government hospital and a special Eye Hospital has been set up in Rajendra Nagar, he informed saying that special treatment for diabetes would soon be available at New Gardener Road Hospital.
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister cum Health Minister Tejasvi Prasad Yadav and other senior officers also addressed the function.
