Punjab: 35 Dental Medical Officers Issued Appointment Letters
Under the 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' scheme, 35 Medical Officers (Dental) have been recruited.
Chandigarh: The Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu Thursday handed over the appointment letters to 35 Medical Officers (Dental).
Mr. Hussan Lal, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare was especially present on the occasion.
Health Minister said Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh had promised to provide jobs under the 'Ghar Ghar Rozgar' scheme. Every effort is being made to achieve this objective. Under this series, today 35 Medical Officers (Dental) have been recruited. They will render their services in different parts of Punjab.
Sidhu further said no stone would be left unturned to meet the shortage of doctors in Punjab. Recently, appointment letters have been handed over to 107 specialist doctors and 375 medical officers General. In these doctors, there are 19 ENTs, 32 Pathologies, 7 Medicines, 18 Ophthalmologists, 4 Psychiatrists, 11 Skin and 16 Ortho Specialists as well as 375 Medical Officers (Generals) have been recruited.
In addition, under Health Department Punjab, 7000 posts of paramedical and other staff including medical officers have been filled from 2017 to 2019 while recruitment of 3940 posts is under process.
Director Health Services Dr. Manjit Singh, Director Procurement Rajesh Sharma, Director Cooperative Bank Mohali Mr. Harkesh Chand Sharma and other officials were also present on the occasion.
