Strict surveillance, smooth conduction- Chandigarh Gears up for NEET 2025

Chandigarh- The District Level Coordination Committee recently held a meeting in Chandigarh for going through the preparations for NEET 2025 for MBBS admissions this year.
At the meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav., preparations for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Undergraduate (NEET UG) examination for the academic year 2025 were reviewed. The district-level coordination committee meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Director of National Testing Agency (NTA) and other officials of the departments involved in the conduct of the examination.
Around 4,500 candidates are expected to appear for the NEET-UG 2025 exam in Chandigarh this year.
According to a TOI report, the committee discussed arrangements to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the exam in line with the standard operating procedures issued by the NTA and the Ministry of Education. In addition, the authorities have decided that all 11 exam centres in the city will have CCTV surveillance, and the live feed will be available at a centralised control room at the DC office.
In addition, traffic and law enforcement measures will be implemented around the examination centers to avoid inconvenience to the candidates and maintain order. Along with this, strict search measures and biometric attendance will be implemented. On this, the officials have been instructed to prevent the use of unfair means and ensure compliance with all guidelines.
Meanwhile, the administration has assured that efforts are being made to provide a safe and stress-free environment for the candidates. The DC asked all departments to coordinate and remain vigilant during the examination period and urged parents and guardians to cooperate with the authorities.
The NEET UG exam 2025 will be held on May 4, 2025 (Sunday) from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM across India. The NEET UG 2025 city notification will be announced by April 26, 2025. Thereafter, candidates willing to appear for the said exam can download the admit card from the NTA website from May 01, 2025. The result is expected to be declared by June 14, 2025.
