3 year nursing student found dead at Sir Ganga Ram hospital hostel in Delhi

New Delhi: In an unfortunate incident, a third-year BSc Nursing student at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital allegedly committed suicide by hanging in her hostel room in Delhi's Rajinder Nagar area.
No suicide note was recovered from the scene, and the police have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding her death.
PTI reported that the deceased student hailed from Najafgarh, Delhi. Her body was discovered by fellow students, who took her to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Afterwards, the Rajinder Nagar Police Station was notified about the incident by the hospital.
A police team arrived at the hostel, and a crime scene investigation team was called to examine the site. Police said further inquiry is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the student's death.

In a statement to ANI, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital administration said, "The matter is currently under investigation. We were deeply shocked and concerned to learn about the incident. The hospital authorities are extending full cooperation to the investigating agencies, and all relevant facts, including the circumstances leading up to the incident, are being examined. We will continue to cooperate with the authorities and share further information once the investigation establishes the facts."
Medical Dialogues had reported that a 19-year-old NEET aspirant from Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar allegedly died by suicide after hanging himself from the ceiling at his home. The aspirant reportedly took the extreme step after becoming distressed over scoring lower marks than expected in the NEET UG 2026 re-examination held on June 21.
In an emotional suicide note, he reportedly wrote, "Sorry, Mom and Dad... I will definitely become a doctor for you in the next life. Please take care of yourselves and stay happy."
