CBI probe in NEET 2026 paper leak: 2 MBBS students linked to Jaipur family stop attending classes

New Delhi: As the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) continues its probe into the alleged NEET UG 2026 paper leak case, multiple MBBS students linked to the accused Jaipur-based family have reportedly stopped attending their respective medical colleges after the scandal came to light.
As per media reports, at least two first-year MBBS students from the Biwal family, studying at different government medical colleges in Rajasthan, have been absent from classes and hostels since the arrests in the case.
The development comes after the CBI arrested Biwal, his brother, and the latter's son for their alleged involvement in the NEET-UG paper leak racket. The agency suspects that the family may have played a role in circulating the leaked question paper among candidates, although the probe is still ongoing.
One of the students linked to the family is a first-year MBBS student at SMS Medical College, Jaipur. Confirming her absence, Dr Monica Jain, Additional Principal of the college, said that the student has not been attending classes since the incident came to light.

As per a latest media report by ETV Bharat, she scored 522 marks in the NEET-UG exam in 2025, achieving a 98.61 percentile. Based on this, she was admitted to SMS Medical College, Jaipur, under the SC category. The administration described her as an average student academically.
Dr Jain stated that she regularly attended classes earlier, participated in sports activities, and had performed well in school examinations, scoring 93% in Class 10 and 81% in Class 12. She also reportedly did not cheat in internal medical college examinations.
After the paper leak incident surfaced, she suddenly disappeared from the college and hostel. Dr Jain says that information is now being gathered by questioning her friends and fellow students living in the hostel to determine her whereabouts.
Another member of the same family, the daughter of the accused brother, and a first-year MBBS student at the Government Medical College, Dausa, has also reportedly stopped attending classes.
The CBI recently conducted searches at the Biwal family residence in Jamwa Ramgarh near Jaipur as part of its wider probe into the alleged nationwide examination scam. Officials are examining financial transactions, call records and communication details to trace links between the accused and NEET candidates.
According to sources, investigators are also probing an alleged syndicate connected to the family to determine how widely the leaked paper and answer keys were circulated.
"Primary probe showed that *** Yadav, arrested from Gurgaon, knew *** Biwal, son of ***. Through Yadav, the question paper reached the Biwal family," an official told TOI.
The official further alleged that Biwal shared the paper with his son, who was preparing for NEET-UG 2026, and that the questions were later sold to others. His minor son may have circulated the leaked questions among students in Sikar.
