Haryana to get three new medical colleges
Haryana: Haryana is set to get better medical facilities as the establishment of 3 new medical colleges has been declared by the state government.
The Sirsa district of Haryana will get a new medical college soon as the construction has been approved on the land of the Agriculture Department in front of Chaudhary Devi Lal University. Three medical colleges will be coming up in the State.
Confirmation to this effect has been given by the Deputy Chief Minister, Dushyant Chautala, who announced the same on July 26, 2020.
Previously the Haryana government has decided to set up medical colleges in every district of the state, following the same plan, Sirsa is going to get its own medical college now.
" The state government has accorded approval for the setting up of three new medical colleges in the state, of which one will come up in Sirsa," Chautala said.
As per a recent UNI report, a proposal has already been sent to the Agriculture Department for providing land for this purpose. The Deputy Chief Minister noted that a medical college in Sirsa has been a long-standing demand of the people. The newly constructed medical college will not only provide relief to people travelling to other districts for health services, but employment opportunities will also be created.
