Kerala braces for COVID 3rd wave, sets up 2 ICUs with 100 beds in GMC hospital
The ICUs will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan here on September 23, the Minister said in a release here.
Thiruvananthapuram: Two Intensive Care Units with 100 most modern beds were set up at the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital here as part of the preparations to counter third wave of COVID-19, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said on Sunday.
The ICUs will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan here on September 23, the Minister said in a release here.
The seven and eight wards of the GMC hospital has been modernised for setting up the 2 ICUs by spending Rs 5.5 crore, she added
