Absconding doctor arrested on accusation of sexually assaulting MBBS medico
Gwalior: Two days after a MBBS medico accused her colleague of allegedly sexually assaulting her in the boy's hostel, the Gwalior police recently arrested the accused doctor who was absconding since Sunday.
Although previous sources mentioned the accused as a senior doctor, PTI has recently reported his position as a junior doctor at the Gajraraja Medical College in Gwalior, where the incident had taken place. The accused reportedly studied with the medico.
Medical Dialogues had recently reported that the student who had travelled from Datia to Gwalior's Medical College to give her supplementary examination had claimed that a doctor had sexually assaulted her in the boy's hostel of the medical college.

The student alleged that she was threatened when she attempted to resist and tried to call for help. She stated that the doctor summoned her to the boys' hostel under the pretext of some work. Following his instructions, she went to the hostel, where the doctor reportedly locked the door and sexually assaulted her.
The incident occurred on Sunday when the student from Datia reached Gwalior to give her supplementary exam for finals. After completing the exam, she met the doctor at the medical college. The doctor reportedly called her to the boy's hostel for academic-related work and that was the time when the alleged sexual assault had happened.
As per the ANI report, the incident site was the old boys hostel which is being dismantled and something new is being constructed in its place. The accused called the medico to meet as they were batchmates, she agreed to meet. During this, the accused raped her, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ashok Singh Jadon.
Based on the complaint of the medico, the police registered an FIR against the accused under the relevant sections of rape at Kampu police station and arrested the accused, DSP Jadaun said, adding that the police team also inspected the incident spot.
"The woman was staying in the girls hostel in the campus for her exams. During this, the accused staying in the nearby Boys Hostel, who was her batchmate called her to meet and raped her," Jaduan added.
