Madhya Pradesh: Medical Council extends last date for Re-verification
Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh Medical Council has extended the last date of reverification for the doctors in the state from April 15 to April 30, according to the medical council officials.
As per a media report in the Free Press Journal, reverification has been made mandatory for all the doctors who are registered with the MP Medical Council. However, the registration number MP--23975 (April 1, 2019) or doctors who have registered after it does not need to apply for re-verification.

Out of the 55000 registered doctors in Madhya Pradesh, only around one-third have turned up for re-verification. Their registration is intact with the medical council even after deaths.
According to an estimated target of the Madhya Pradesh medical council, there must be around 30,000 doctors working in Madhya Pradesh including in the private and public sector. And around 1000 new doctors apply with the medical council for registration every year.
All the government and private doctors working in Madhya Pradesh are required to get a re-verification done from the MP medical council soon. Those doctors who do not get the re-verification done by this date would face issues as their practice may suffer, or action might be taken against such doctors.
The notification stated in the officials site of Madhya Pradesh Medical Council notes, "The Re-Verification is Mandatory for Every Doctor registered in MP Medical Council. Last Date to Apply for Re-Verification: April 30, 2022". Further, it states, "As per resolution passed by the Council in its annual meeting the Registration fees and late fees is revised w.e.f. 1st January 2022."
Therefore, in that situation, it would be necessary for every doctor in the state to apply for re-verification in the MP Medical Council through MP Online, reports the Free Press Journal.
