Nashik: In a shocking incident, a doctor was allegedly abducted, assaulted and robbed of Rs 2.10 lakh at gunpoint following which the Nashik Rural Police with the assistance of crime branch personnel arrested three accused in connection with the case.

An FIR was registered by the police under sections 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing or attempting to commit robbery), 365 (kidnapping with intent of wrongful confinement), 341 (wrongful constraint), and 34 (common intention) of the IPC and other sections of the Indian Arms Act against the trio that resulted in their arrest.
The accused have been identified as 26-year-old Shravan of Naitale, Niphad, 32-year-old Nitish of Rajur Road, Peer Pimpalgaon in Jalna district, and 25-year-old Sachin of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

As per a media report in TOI, the incident took place at night on October 13 near Andarsul when the doctor closed his clinic which is situated near Nandur Madhmeshwar and was on his way to a doctors meeting in Vinchur MIDC.
The doctor was on his way by car. While driving, the victim was stopped and approached by two bikers who proceeded to forcefully enter his vehicle. The assailants then brandished a firearm and physically assaulted the victim, ultimately stealing his cell phone, Rs9,000 in cash, and four ATM cards.
Following this, they demanded the PINs for the ATM cards and were able to withdraw Rs 2.10 lakh from one of the machines. After gagging the victim with a cloth, the criminals pushed him out of the car and fled the scene. After managing to untie himself, the doctor approached the police.
After apprehending the three individuals on Saturday for the alleged abduction, assault and robbery of the doctor, they were subsequently presented before the court, which ordered their remand in police custody for a period of five days.
The case is currently under investigation.
