NEET PG Counselling 2020: CENTAC notifies on Mop Up round, list of vacant seats released

NEET PG Counselling 2020: CENTAC notifies on Mop Up round, list of vacant seats released

Puducherry: Through a recent notification, the CENTAC has informed about the conduction of mop up round counselling for PG medical admissions 2020 session

In view of the COVID lockdown, Mop-up Counselling will be done through web conferencing. Mop-up counselling for Govt. Quota seats and Management Quota seats will be done on 27-07-2020 (Monday). The link will be sent to all the Candidates who deposit fee money in advance. Sliding will be allowed and accordingly candidates who have already joined also can participate. The link will be sent to them also. In case of difficulty, if any, in participating through web conferencing due to connectivity issues, the candidates will be allowed to call on the phone number--- and choose the seats.

Reservation:

Mop-up Counselling will be done in sessions. In the first session Reservation will be allowed for Govt. Quota seats. Thereafter unfilled seats will be converted into unreserved seats and offered as per Merit. Mop-up counselling will be done separately for Government quota and Management quota seats.

Eligibility:
Students who have joined colleges till 2nd round counselling are also eligible for Mop-up Counselling. This is done based on the consideration that a candidate should be able to choose the course of his choice based on merit. Students who have not joined are eligible for Mop-up counselling but the registration fee paid during 2 nd round will be forfeited. (Please refer PG-Medical Education Regulations as amended from time to time).
Seat Matrix: Updated seat matrix is published and Students are advised to go through the seat matrix.
Details of Filled and Vacant seats:
The updated list of candidates who have joined after 2nd round of counselling for PG-Medical seats is published. The names of the candidates who have paid fees but have opted out subsequently have been removed. The details of filled seats and vacant seats are updated in the website.
Note: Candidates are advised to verify the list of joined candidates. If the name of a candidate who has been allotted a seat in 2nd round, paid fee is not found in the list, the candidate is advised to send details before 5:00 pm on 26-07-2020 to centacprof@gmail.com.
Sliding is allowed.
Fees: During Mop-up counseling, seats will be allotted only after the entire tuition fee is paid, preferably by way of DD (Demand Draft) or through RTGS/NEFT; otherwise seat will not be allotted. For this purpose, candidates can either transfer the fee in advance to CENTAC account mentioned in the website or deposit DD for fee amount in favour of CENTAC. In the case of NEFT/RTGS transfer amount credited will be refunded if the seat is not allotted. In case of DD, the same will be returned. For the fee amount, students are advised to see the fee order on the website.
Forfeiture of fees in case of Non-joining:
If the student fails to join the allotted college after Mop-up counseling, then an amount of Rs.2,00,000/- will be forfeited. In case, the College is not able to fill the seat from the 1:10 list sponsored by CENTAC, then entire tuition fee will be forfeited. Where the college is able to fill the seat, the fee paid after deducting Rs.2,00,000/- will be refunded after 6 months time.
Joining Date: Students should join on or before 3.00 pm 29-07-2020. Students can report either physically or through online, in view of the COVID restrictions.
Instructions to Candidates: Candidates will be called in the order of Merit. Please see the seat matrix, evaluate your choices and accordingly decide for participation in counselling.

⦁ Documents for reservation claimed
⦁ Proof of fee paid (RTGS/NEFT reference or DD)
