Punjab Govt appoints 106 candidates on regular basis in Health Dept
Health Minister further added that about 7000 recruitments were made in the Health Department under CM's Ghar Ghar Rozgar Yojna in the last 3 years which included Specialist doctors, Medical officers, Dental officers, paramedical, and other staff on a regular and contract basis.
Chandigarh: Health and Family Welfare Minister, Punjab, Balbir Singh Sidhu on Wednesday handed over the appointment letters to 106 candidates on regular basis.
Hussan Lal, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Punjab was also present on the occasion.
Health Minister stated that 106 appointment letters were issued today under the Ghar-Ghar Rozgar Yojna of Chief Minister Punjab Capt. Amarinder Singh. Of the 4,000 vacancies on regular basis, 50 Lab Technicians were recruited through Baba Farid University. 56 candidates recruited on the compassionate ground included 51 Ward Attendants and 5 Clerks.
He said that all these appointments have been made on a merit basis in a transparent manner.

Balbir Sidhu welcomed the newly appointed staff upon joining the department and urged them to behave politely with all patients and perform their duty with honesty in the Hospitals. He said that during the novel coronavirus, the staff of the health department has performed their duties dedicatedly which is laudable.

On this occasion, Director Health Services Dr. Manjit Singh, Chairman Market Committee Kharar & Political Secretary to Health Minister Mr. Harkesh Chand Sharma, State Program Officer IEC Shivinder, Sehdev Superintendent Establishment 1 Vipin Kumar, Superintendent Establishment 7 Sandeep Kumar, Superintendent CC Branch Kamlesh Kumari, and other officers were also present.
