Coimbatore: The manager of Karpagam Medical College at Othakkalmandapam was allegedly physically assaulted by two real estate agents after he tried to confront them about spreading fake news regarding the selling of the institution at Othakkalmandam for Rs 1650 crores.
In order to confront the accused, the manager of the private medical college called the duo impersonating as a potential buyer and confronted them. As per a recent media report, the duo became angry at the manager and allegedly assaulted him.
Chettipalayam police have identified the accused and arrested them under IPC 294 (b) (sings, recites or utters any obscene song, ballad or words, in or near any public place), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), and 506(i) (criminal intimidation).
