CM Yogi announces setting up of new medical college in Sonbhadra
Sonebhadra: President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the newly constructed hostel and school at Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram on Sunday in the presence of CM Yogi.
Speaking on the occasion, the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath said that the President himself has already been very active for the development of the Vindhya region. The CM also announced the setting up of a medical college by the government to provide better medical facilities to the people of Sonbhadra.

The Chief Minister said that it was a matter of great privilege that the President belonged to Uttar Pradesh. The CM said that his arrival at the inauguration of the newly constructed hostel and school at Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram will bring a major change in the life of Vanvasi society. India's first lady Sarita Kovind and UP Governor Anandiben Patel were present on the occasion.
The CM said that during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has created a different identity on the global stage. The countries like Australia and the United States had complimented India for its Covid management.
The CM said that India has paved the way for world humanity by presenting two vaccines of Covid along with setting an example of excellent Covid management to the world.
On this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is receiving accolades from the whole world. "This is an honour for the entire 135 crores people of the country," he said.
The CM said that his government ensured development without any discrimination and connected Scheduled Castes and OBCs with the mainstream of society. " My government tested the poor, farmers, youth, women, forest dwellers and other sections alike when it comes to provide benefits of the state the schemes," he said while stating "in this sequence, Sonbhadra district appears to be benefiting in a real way. The state government is also going to give the gift of a medical college to Sonbhadra."
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that two districts of the Vindhya region, Mirzapur and Sonbhadra, used to face water problem every year from January to July. Water scarcity has now been eliminated through from the Prime Minister's Jal Jeevan scheme. "Pure drinking water is being provided to the people here while by the end of the year, drinking water will be available in all the villages of the Vindhya region," he said.
The Chief Minister, who happened to interact with a tribal girl who told him that after intermediate, she is unable to study further. The CM instructed the administration to get her admitted in the same district, if possible, otherwise in Varanasi or Lucknow.
He announced that the government will take care of their studies and other needs if they want to study further but for some reasons they are not admitted. The CM also said that the state government will soon make arrangements for the coaches for the shooting range here.
