Kanpur's GSVM Medical College Paramedical Student Found Dead

Kanpur- In an unfortunate incident, a paramedical student of Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College allegedly committed suicide in his hostel room of the college. The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon near Swaroop Nagar police station area of ​​Kanpur.
The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Arvind, a resident of Bamhraula village in Marka police station area of ​​Banda district. He was a first year student of BCG (Bacillus Calmette-Guerin) technician at Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial Medical College. He took admission in the medical college in December 2024.
The deceased father was repeatedly calling his son, but when the call was not answered, he ran towards the hostel. Reaching the hostel room, he tried to open the door, but the door was locked from inside. After breaking the door of the room, he found his son dead. The police were immediately informed and the investigation was started by sending the body for post-mortem.
According to the deceased's father, Arvind had gone to college from home last week. He last spoke to his family at 3 pm later and after that his phone was not reachable. When his family could not contact him on Sunday and Monday evening, they reached his hostel late on Monday night. His room was locked from inside and there was no response even after knocking repeatedly.
After this, the deceased's father immediately informed the police. The police reached the spot with the forensic team and recovered the body of the young man after breaking the door.
Speaking to Times of India in this case, Swarupnagar Inspector Suryabali Pandey said that the student has committed suicide. Currently, the body has been sent for post-mortem and further action will be taken based on the report.
