Radiologist booked for allegedly molesting pregnant patient during ultrasound
Greater Noida: A city-based radiologist has been booked after a pregnant patient alleged that the doctor has touched her inappropriately during her ultrasound treatment on Wednesday afternoon.
The 26-year-old patient, who is at the initial stage of her pregnancy alleged that she visited the radiologist attached to Vidya ultrasound center for an ultrasound along with her cousin. She complained that the doctor while conducting the ultrasound has allegedly touched her inappropriately and also shuffled her clothes.

She further alleged that the doctor was in fact in an intoxicated state while conducting the ultrasound. The woman went for an ultrasound on November 25 and the radiologist who was assigned for conducting her ultrasound allegedly started misbehaving with her during the procedure.
As per a report by Times of India, the woman alleged that the doctor shuffled her clothes in an objectionable way and was having bad intentions towards her. After this, the woman narrated the entire incident to her cousin who was waiting outside. When the cousin went inside to confront the doctor about his alleged misbehavior, the doctor allegedly threatened him and physically assaulted him.
Following the assault, the woman approached the police and filed a complaint against the radiologist.
According to the daily, the radiologist has been booked under IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt). One of the police officers informed the daily, "The victim has told police said the doctor was drunk during the ultrasound procedure and his assistant was serving him fruits."
ACP of Greater Noida, Nitin Singh told Times of India that the incident took place on Wednesday morning and the woman has alleged that "when she objected to the doctor's behavior and informed the cousin, the latter confronted the doctor following which the doctor allegedly threatened and assaulted him."
Reportedly, the doctor has previously been booked for luring a pregnant woman from Bhiwani to conduct a gender identification test.
