Are home remedies genuine and effective in curing piles? - Dr Abyson Philip - Video
Overview
Nowadays, home remedies are often used for the management of Piles. The surge in popularity of home remedies can be attributed to various reasons. Many individuals seek natural, non-invasive alternatives to address the discomfort associated with haemorrhoids. Home remedies, including dietary changes, sitz baths, topical treatments like aloe vera or witch hazel, and lifestyle modifications, are often perceived as accessible, cost-effective, and with fewer potential side effects compared to medical interventions.
Moreover, easy access to information through the Internet and social media has increased awareness and advocacy for home-based treatments. However, while these remedies may relieve mild symptoms and improve overall comfort, their efficacy in treating severe or persistent cases of piles might be limited.
In this video, Dr Abyson Philip, Consultant General and Minimal Access Surgeon at Holy Ghost Mission Hospital, Muttuchira, Kottayam, Kerala, will provide a comprehensive understanding of piles and the role of home remedies in its management.
