According to, Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS), KK Tamta of DMC, "No budget has been released for salaries. They are yet to get July salary. They have threatened to gherao me, if the salary is not released."
Dr Bhupinder Aulakh, Secretary, Health and Medical, has released an order asking Dr SC Pant to officiate as DG, Health and Medical Services in the absence of Ms. Kusum Nariyal. Dr. Pant has finally accepted the responsibility, due to the pressure exerted by Provincial Medical and Health Service Association office-bearers.
