Yoga is Pride for our Nation: Jharkhand Governor Murmu
Ranchi:Â Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu today said that yoga is India's pride which can help to remove mental and physical problems.
Addressing the people after inaugurating a Yoga training camp at the Raj Murmu Bhawan here she said that yoga is the base of the life and everyday people should devote at least one hour for yoga.
She said that people should make an effort so that yoga can become part of their lives and pointed out that June 21st would be a historic day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself will be doing yoga in Jharkhand, however she pointed that doing yoga should not be confined to one day but people should do yoga throughout the year.

Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that yoga was an inseparable part of the Indian culture and in the modern times the entire world has realised the importance of yoga. He said that it is a matter of pride that Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with residents of the state would be performing yoga at the Prabhat Tara Maidan on June 21st and urged the people of the entire state to participate in the program.
He asked the people to take initiative and perform yoga on June 21st and also give a positive message to the world.
Mr Das said that the invitation is for all elected representatives, social organisation, business organisations, youth, political parties and the common people.

The Chief Minister said that by incorporating yoga as part of our lifestyle people can help build a healthy Jharkhand and healthy India.
During the Yoga training camp, the dignitaries performed various 'asans' of yoga. Those present on the occasion also included Health Minister Ramchandra Chandravanshi Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Poddar chief secretary DK Tiwari DGP Kamal Nayan Choubey and others.
