200 bedded Mirzapur Medical College boon for Mirzapur, nearby cities : PM Modi
Uttar Pradesh: To provide higher medical education and better healthcare services in the city, the Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of Mirzapur Medical College recently.
While addressing the public after the inauguration, the Prime Minister claimed that the 200- bedded medical college will not only prove to be a boon for Mirzapur, but it will also benefit nearby cities including: Sonbhadra, Bhadohi, Chandauli and Allahabad.
The prime minister informed that over 100 Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been opened in the state so far. These kendras offer generic medicines at affordable prices, under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP)
During the launch, he further informed about several other progress made in the health sector including affordable stents used in heart procedures, knee implants and also the opening of several dialysis centres across our country under the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Dialysis Programme.
He also promoted the affordable healthcare scheme, Ayushman Bharat popularly known as Modicare and urged the public to connect to the scheme.
