31 Medical Colleges denied Super-Specialty Seats: Ministry of Health

New Delhi: 31 Medical Colleges across the country, will not be allowed to offer Certain Superspeciality seats to the medical practitioners, as the Central Government has recently announced its decision to disapprove PG ( Super-speciality) schemes offered by these medical colleges

The disapproval comes for schemes for starting/ increase in SS seats depending on the application made by respective medical colleges. The public notice released in this regard by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare stated that Formal orders in respect of the above courses are being sent to the applicant colleges/institutes separately by post.

Among the medical colleges whose Scheme for SS courses have been disapproved include some of the prominent names across the country including KGMU, Lucknow, CMC, Vellore and as well as Grant Medical College and JJ Group of hospitals, Mumbai

The following schemes of Medical Colleges for starting/increase in seats of PG (Super Specialty)
courses for the academic session 2018-19 have been disapproved after considering the
recommendations of MCI
