Birla Heart Research Centre Kolkata, Visiting Professor at Banaras Hindu University, Guest professor in the department of cardiac surgery at Hannover medical school Germany, Consultant Cardiac surgeon & unit head at Bombay Hospital & Research Centre Mumbai, and Associate Professor of Dept. of Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery at LTM Medical College, Sion Hospital, Bombay. Dr Kaul is the only cardiac surgeon, heading the heart team in the Asian subcontinent, who has one of the largest experience of performing TAVR (Aortic Valve Replacement without open-heart surgery). His accomplishments include: Over 20,000 Cardiac Surgeries, Over 5000 MICS Cardiac surgeries, Over 4000 Coronary Bypass with Total Arterial Conduits, Over 4000 Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgeries like Valve Replacements and CABG, and Over 2000 Complex Congenital Operations with excellent results. He is also heading the heart transplant, ECMO and Artificial heart program with one of the largest experience of heart failure management.
