Dr. D.S. RANA MBBS, MD, MNAMS (Nephrology), FISN, D.Sc., FGSI, FISOT, is a Director and Chairman of Department of Nephrology at Ganga Ram Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research. He is the Member of Sir Ganga Ram Trust Society. He is also the Chairman of Institute of Renal Sciences and Chairman of Board of Management Member at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. He was awarded International Scholarship by Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA as to widen his horizon in the field of kidney transplantation in 1986. He is one of the pioneer stalwarts to promote the specialty of Nephrology in India. He is the prime mover to get his department recognized by National Board of Examinations for DNB program in Nephrology. Honorable Supreme Court of India appointed him as member of special National Task Force in 2021 for dealing Covid and improving healthcare policies.
